there has been talk about a new improved top secret elders handbook being issued imminently and people have said that they are looking forward to seeing a copy on this site once it's available.. my husband said that he would love to see the old one.
is there one posted anywhere that he can see?.
Thanks, have sent you a pm

Many thanks.
the above is something i often heard jw's say in one way or another, but they could never fully eleabourate.. so i propose a debate: is the world "bad and "soo awfull"?
as the jw's would have you belive?.
My mother-in-law seems to be under the impression that she will just have everything she needs and wants in the New World.
When she saw my dishwasher in our last house she said "I will have one in the New World". When she heard we were fitting a new kitchen in our new home she said "I will have a fitted kitchen in the New World".
My husband said that she said to him once that she will learn to fly a plane in the New World.
It is such a shame, he says their lives have been on hold since the late sixties when they were all looking forward to 1975. Their house is awful, they have done very little believing Armargeddon is around the corner and that she will soon be having all these things. She is now 82 years of age.
for the so-called conscious class, those of you who know it's all a disgusting lie, what is the real reason you stay in?
i find it hard to understand how ones who know what the org truly is would continue to be an active jw.
i'm not talking about the "faders"- those with an actual plan to get out as painlessly as possible.
In response to Doubting Bro a comment concerning blood
My daughter is a paed nurse and she has told me that in her experience JW parents always allow their/baby child to have a blood transfusion - they always "do what's necessary but just don't tell us".
Of course, JW mothers are loving and would do anything to save their child's life it is just that we hear about the fundamentalists who will allow their child to die for their faith.
It seems strange as most mothers would die themselves to save their child whereas the irony here is that often the child dies to save their mother's salvation - I just never got this.
Good luck everyone in your various stages of leaving - life definitely gets better.
However, we may not be home and dry yet. We have this year moved 150 miles away from the last KH we attended but when we last visited my husband's parents the wife of an elder from our old congregation telephoned so we are not sure if MIL is meddling again and getting him to send the local elders round to us here. We are waiting with bated breath.
I agree with AK - Jeff, why after all these years do they want those very old letters destroyed? Obviously something which makes them look stupid.
The latest letter just seems over the top paranoia.
i was at a used book store recently, and ran across something that had me in stitches.. this book was on the shelf... carefully "studied", yellow highlighter graced many of the pages, their yellow marks straight as an arrow by the edge of a ruler.. i m not sure how this person was able to "study" it since it didn't have any questions at the bottom of the page.. must have been one of those "independent thinkers" .
i didn't read the book, i think i know what i need to know by now.. .
I bought a second hand copy of George Orwell's 1984 and this had all been marked up - I did wonder whether a JW had read it
casting aside what little you learned about god and christ- are you thrilled with the future of mankind?.
I actually look forward to life and living now. I always had a strong faith before I attended the KH however the way the people there behaved put me off religion completely. They certainly did not behave in a Christlike manner at all, always criticising others and not concentrating on their own lives, always making false promises etc.
Now I am out my faith is back up to strength but I have no desire to become part of any organised religion again. This experience has completely put me off though I attended several different churches of different denominations previously as always enjoyed it.
I have met so many kind and interesting people since who are out there helping others less fortunate rather than just talking about it. These people certainly behave more like Christians that any I met in the KH though I am certain there are people in the KH who would love to do something for others but know that it would be frowned upon so therefore don't do anything.
If one lives a good honourable life there is no need to worry one iota about Armageddon when it happens, they will receive their salvation in any event. However, those that don't would need to worry and keep reminding themselves that it is just around the corner so that they can try and behave how they should.
However, since the bible is clear on the fact that it will come when no-one is expecting it surely means that all the while someone is talking about it, it is expected and won't happen.
Something else I noticed from a question and answer website that I used to use is that any JWs answering questions were always most rude, again not a Christian attitude. It is there in black and white for everyone to see just how these people really are. None of us need to say anything they have written it all themselves.
just about all of them; far too many to post!.
Lol, you could be right
just about all of them; far too many to post!.
Main scripture ignored by JWs (and there is no argument to this)
Do not try and take the speck out of someone else's eye when you have a plank in your own!!
Also
Treat others how you would like to be treated

the meetings used to be three times a week and totalled five hours.. the public talk on a sunday was reduced from one hour to three quarters of an hour whilst we were still attending and then following our fade we were aware that the tuesday night group book study was stopped.. does this now mean the meetings total three and three quarter hours?.
my husband was asking me this morning and i wasn't sure so wondered if anyone can help me out here.. thanks.. li.
Thanks, is there any reason given as to why the meetings are getting shorter? I know it is better for everyone as no-one can concentrate for that lenghth of time anyway.
